'Twas the Night Before Christmas at Your Keel Custom Home

'Twas the night before Christmas in a home custom-built,
Where memories were made without stress, without guilt.
The stockings were hung by the fireplace with care,
In a great room so open, with light everywhere.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, In spacious bedrooms with with tall ceilings o'erhead. With crown molding detailed and doors eight feet high, They dreamed of St. Nicholas up in the sky.

When down in the kitchen there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my primary suite to see what was the matter. Through the great room I flew in a flash like a dart, Past the open floor plan—oh, such thoughtful design art!

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, Through sliding glass doors gave a luminous glow. When what to my wondering eyes did appear, But a miniature sleigh pulled by eight tiny reindeer.

With a jolly old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than contractors his coursers they came, And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

"Now, ISLAND! now, PANTRY! now, MUDROOM and PORCH! On, BUILT-INS! on, GRANITE! on, TRIM work and more! To the top of the foyer! To the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

Through the two-car garage (with direct kitchen access), He marveled—"This home building process shows impressive finesse! The flow from the dining room into the kitchen, Makes holiday hosting absolutely bewitchin'!"

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I opened the door and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in red from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all covered with ashes and soot. A bundle of blueprints he had flung on his back, And he looked like a builder just opening his pack.

His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! He took in the details of the space all around— The white painted brick, where such beauty was found.

"What craftsmanship here!" Santa said with delight, "These eight-foot doors frame every room just right! The hardwood floors flow with seamless precision, And this range hood! Quite the design decision!"

He toured through each room with great care and attention, Noting features too numerous for me to mention: The first-floor primary—"How practical and wise!" The covered back porch—"What a pleasant surprise!"

The pantry for storage, the mudroom for shoes, The breakfast nook perfect for morning's first brews. "These homes," Santa chuckled with a wink of his eye, "Show Keel truly knows how to SIMPLIFY!"

He admired the foyer, grand yet not overdone, Where function meets beauty and families have fun. The ample cabinetry, the natural light, Made even old Santa say, "This feels just right!"

He checked his list twice with professional care, Then pulled out a note with a flourish and flair: "To those dreaming of homes where their lives can unfold, Where stories are written and memories take hold—

Then placing his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, "HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL WHO BUILD HOMES DONE RIGHT! To the Keel Custom team and to homeowners dear, May your homes bring you joy—not just now, but all year!"
