ORIGIN STORY
The name Keel originates from our teams’ personal love for boating, water sports, and living steady, balanced lives. To keep a boat steady and upright, is the responsibility of the keel underneath the ship. If you say that someone or something is on an even keel, you mean that they are working or progressing smoothly and steadily. This is exactly how we expect our building process and customer experience to feel.

Jeff Bunch
Jeff Bunch has over a decade of experience in real estate, having worked with national home builders, real estate brokers, and investors. He spent five years with Ryan Homes developing his construction knowledge and project management skills before teaming up with Andy Beach to form Progress Realty Group, which focused on urban infill and renovation investments in the city of Richmond. Jeff and Andy eventually formed UrbanCore Construction before teaming up again to focus on custom residential homes at Keel.
Casey White
Casey White is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has been in the construction industry for a decade, working in both production and custom homes as well as historic home rehabilitations and custom infill construction in the city of Richmond. His breadth of experience brings a well-roundedness to Keel and keeps him looking for ways to improve the construction process. Casey enjoys traveling and surfing, especially in New Zealand, where he lived for five years.
Peter Petras
Born and raised in Richmond, Peter has a true passion for the city and everything it has to offer. With a background in new construction, sales, and investment property, he brings value to his clients through his unique grasp on areas such as estimating costs, negotiation, and financing. He loves to gain a deep understanding of “the why” behind his clients needs in order to best serve them.
Peter has over seven years of experience in the real estate industry. His journey in real estate started back in college when he took an internship in Richmond with a local company focused on historic renovations, new construction, urban infill and development. From there, he spent time with both a national and regional builder in roles including Production Supervisor, Project Manager, and New Home Advisor.
Peter is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business with a degree in Marketing Management. When he is not serving his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, golfing and catching up with friends.

Bridget Fowler
Bridget is our design and interiors enthusiast. She graduated from Radford University with a degree in Interior Design and started her career with a manufacturing company working with architects, designers, and builders to create high-end architectural finishes. Early 2022 she brought her skills and passion to Keel as our in-house interior designer and marketing coordinator, among many other things! She enjoys spending time painting, gardening, traveling, and exploring Richmond with her friends, family, and dog, Nico.
